Richard E. Layton, MD practices specialized pediatrics, allergy and preventative medicine. Dr. Layton evaluates learning, behavior, and developmental problems, and is especially interested in ADHD and Autism. Dr. Layton received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Richmond in 1965, his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia in 1969, and interned at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida from 1969 to 1970. From 1970-1972, Dr. Layton served as a Resident and Chief Resident in pediatrics at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore. From 1972-1987 he practiced primary care pediatrics. Since 1987, Dr. Layton has practiced in Towson, Maryland. Dr. Layton is board certified and Emeritus Fellow with the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the Autism Research Institute. He frequently lectures about allergies, behavior and development to professional and parent groups.
