Mike Perkins, MEd, has been an educator for 17 years, and is the principal of a Title 1 school in metro Atlanta. He is an author, speaker, and trainer, as well as a parent of a child diagnosed with ADHD, Tourette Syndrome, and a learning disability. He uses his experience to help others understand how to motivate children and teens to invest in strategies that reduce stress and conflict, and promote independence and self-esteem. Mike provides a framework of research-based interventions for parents and professionals which are focused on strengthening executive functions. He has been an invited speaker, conference presenter, or keynote speaker at more than 25 national, state and local conference, including CHADD's 24th Annual International Conference on ADHD, Georgia DOE IDEAS Conference, and the 24th Annual National Youth-At-Risk Conference.
