Jaya Ramesh
I am a cis, immigrant, neurodivergent, woman of color, with caste, class, and education privileges. Currently, I live on the unceded lands of the Duwamish peoples. My passions include creating liberatory healing and learning spaces and working to disentangle from and dismantle systems of oppression. I see myself as a truth teller and facilitator with a passion for unlocking the stories waiting to be shared both within herself and others. In my private practice I support BIPOC, neurodivergent people in having more authentic and nourishing relationships. I live with my partner of 18 years with whom I am raising two neurodivergent kids and a puppy. I enjoy reading novels, practicing vipassana meditations, pushing myself to do more strenuous hikes, taking long naps, belting out 80’s tunes at karaoke, cooking elaborate dinners, and taking meandering walks with my family. Priya Saaral
I am a first-generation immigrant from India and Singapore and identify as a neurodivergent person. My work has been centered on helping young people and parents find their voice and their playful spirit amidst personal and structural adversity, seeking to be seen and to belong. I was in this space myself too and my own experiences of strength and hardship motivated me to help all children feel seen and heard as valuable human beings in society, and as agents of change. When I’m not working, I play it out with my passionate boy, desperately attempting to win him at the next ‘friendly’ gaga ball family match, or trying unfailingly to bark-train my excitable, tiny but mighty pup Coco. Speaking of vocal cords, I indulge my own in the improvisational intersections between the South Indian Classical and Jazz music forms. Find out more about me at www.play-it-out.com
