Andrea was a mom of two young children while excelling in her career as a lawyer
in New York City. As her career blossomed, her autistic son was failing to progress,
having more outbursts, and withdrawing from social interaction. Something major
needed to change. Andrea left her 19-year law career and created a homeschool
team.
She and her team prioritized relationships and built trust – by learning,
understanding, and following his needs and motivations to help him make
extraordinary progress. Her son flourished in this new system which not only
advanced his skills, but also created more cooperation and peace at home. After
eight years he re-entered school. Andrea had just spent eight years studying autism
with the intensity of a Wall Street lawyer and did not want all that she discovered
and developed to help her son to be lost. She knew that there were so many
parents struggling, and that she had a system that could help families thrive. She
returned to school and earned her Masters in Education (MSEd.) so that she could
most effectively share her knowledge to help parents get swift results without years
of trial and error.
That is when Andrea created Autism Parent Solutions whose mission is to help
parents of autistic and other developmentally challenged children and teens build
skills and inner strength to parent with unshakeable confidence, ease, and joy so
that they can curb conflict, cultivate teamwork, minimize meltdowns, and help
their children make extraordinary progress.
