S. Alexis Davis, MS, LPC is a psychotherapist who has been working with children, adolescents and families for over 10 years. She graduated from Nova Southeastern University (NSU) in Ft Lauderdale, Florida where she earned a Master's degree in Mental Heath Counseling. Prior to her master's work, she attended Louisiana State University (LSU) where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Science and she was an ongoing member of the Psi Chi Psychological Honor Society. Alexis is also a native of Marietta, Georgia. During Alexis' master's studies and early years of practicing as a therapist she conducted in-home behavior therapy with children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders. During this time Alexis also coached parents on ways to cope with their child's disability as well as guide them in parenting their children. After graduating from NSU, she worked as the Coordinator of Clinical Services at Children's Psychology Associates (which is now Children's Center for Development and Behavior) in Weston, Florida. At Children's Psychology Associates Alexis created and ran social skills therapy groups and summer camps for children and adolescents, as well as conducted individual and family therapy. She then decided to move back to Georgia. In Atlanta Alexis worked for Beyond Words Center for over six years running social skills groups as well as conducting social skills evaluations and individual and family therapy. She later decided to create her own private practice.
